| Board Composition: | The Audit Council Committee is comprised of 5 members: 3 City Councilmembers and 2 Citizen Members. The 2 Citizen Members should be residents of the City and have applicable experience in financial and/or audit matters and should be knowledgeable in public administration, public financial and fiscal practices, governmental accounting, and auditing. The members serve two-year terms. |

| Mission/Purpose: | The Audit Council Committee advises the San Antonio City Council and provides guidance and oversight for the Office of the City Auditor in the performance of its responsibilities. The Committee reviews, approves and monitors the City Auditor's proposed annual audit plan, internal and external audits that are both financial and performance based, and evaluates the City Auditor's report on major activities. The 2 Citizen Members should be knowledgeable in public administration, public financial and fiscal practices, governmental accounting, and auditing.

| Meeting Schedule & Location: | The Audit Council Committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Council Briefing Room on the 1st Floor of City Hall, 100 Main Plaza, 78205. |
