Board Description
Board Composition:Description: BCAD is governed by a nine-member board. Five directors are appointed by the taxing units within the district, including the county, cities, school districts, and the junior college district, and serve staggered four-year terms beginning January 1 of even-numbered years. Three directors are elected at large by the voters of Bexar County in the November general election of even-numbered years with terms beginning January 1 of the year following the election and serve staggered four-year terms, The ninth member of the board is the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector, who serves automatically in an ex officio voting member. Residents do not apply through the City for service on the BCAD Board.
