| Board Composition: | The Multimodal Transportation Commission (MTC) comprises 13 members: 10 City Council-appointed members, one (1) member appointed by the Mayor, one (1) member appointed by VIA, and one (1) member appointed by the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO). |

| Categories: | The Council- and Mayor-appointed positions consist of at least:
• Two (2) transit riders,
• Two (2) cyclists,

The remaining five (5) appointments will ideally have experience with affordable housing; children; the development community; the environment; health and quality of life; and/or with non-motorist and urban planning. |
| Mission/Purpose: | The MTC has the principal duty of acting as an advisory body to the Transportation Director on exceptions to the Complete Streets Policy. The Commission also serves as a recommending body for reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and plan metrics, benchmarks, and amendments to City Code. The Commission will receive regular staff updates on Transportation Department plans, policies, and projects. |
