| Board Description | |
| Board Composition: | The SA Climate Ready Advisory Committee is comprised of 17 members: 10 City Council appointed members, one (1) member appointed by the Mayor, one (1) Mayor's Youth Engagement Council for Climate Initiatives member appointed by the Mayor, and five (5) Ex-Officio Organizational members from CPS Energy; San Antonio Water System; VIA Metropolitan Transit; San Antonio River Authority, and Joint Base San Antonio. Members serve a two-year term that runs concurrently with the term of the appointing Councilmember. The members of the Committee shall reside inside the city limits of San Antonio, its ETJ, or the otherwise incorporated or unincorporated areas of Bexar County. No more than two (2) members can represent a professional organization, specialty, or interest. |

| Mission/Purpose: | The mission of the SA Climate Ready Advisory Committee includes advising City staff and City Council on the implementation of the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, and other associated long-term sustainability plans, such as the SA Tomorrow Sustainability Plan, while serving as a forum for the community to offer input on climate action and sustainability. |
