Board Composition: | The Storm Water Management Advisory Board (SWMAB) is comprised of thirteen (13) members, including:
a. One Board Chair appointed by the Mayor;
b. Three Individuals representing the Salado/Cibolo Creek watershed, each appointed from Council Districts 2, 9 and 10;
c. Three Individuals representing the Leon Creek/Medina River watershed each appointed from Council Districts 4, 6 and 8;
d. Three Individuals representing the Upper San Antonio River watershed each appointed from Council Districts 1, 3 and 5;
e. One Individual representing and appointed by Council District 7;
f. One Individual as an Environmental Representative appointed by the Mayor; and
g. One Individual as a Development Community Representative appointed by the Mayor |

Mission/Purpose: | The Storm Water Management Advisory Board (SWMAB) is an advisory board for the City of San Antonio that was established on January 26, 2023 and was created for the following purposes:
a. Monitor and track the progress and successful completion of drainage projects including the City’s Drainage and Flood Management Bond Proposition;
b. Serve as communication ambassadors to review and advise City Council and City staff on how to improve outreach efforts to residents and businesses affected by construction and other communication initiatives related to drainage and storm water projects as needed;
c. Lead the community process with the assistance of watershed working groups and staff to define and prioritize projects for their respective watersheds and districts not already defined within the Bond brochure; and
d. Ensure a transparent process in prioritizing future City storm water and drainage investments. |
Meeting Schedule & Location: | The Storm Water Management Advisory Board (SWMAB) meets at least on a quarterly basis. |
