Board Composition: | The Commission is comprised of 11 voting members each serving a two-year term. Each city council district and the mayor have an appointee within this board. A quorum of 51% of appointed members is required to conduct business on the board’s agenda. |

Mission/Purpose: | The Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Department of Human Services and the City Council on matters affecting the well-being of San Antonio residents and families, with a focus on financial strengthening and stability building of low-income San Antonio residents. |
Meeting Schedule & Location: | Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every other month (i.e. every 60 days) at 4:00 pm in the Willie Velasquez Learning Center located at 1302 N Zarzamora Street, San Antonio, TX 78207. |
