Board Composition: | The SA: Ready to Work Board is comprised of 11 Members of which 9 (nine) positions are At-Large appointments, and 2 (two) positions are Councilmember Liaisons appointed by the Mayor. The Members serve a two-year term and a quorum of 5 voting members is required to conduct business on the Board’s agenda. |

Mission/Purpose: | The SA Ready to Work (SARTW) Advisory Board is charged with providing expertise and input to maximize the effectiveness of the Ready to Work workforce development program. SARTW advises Workforce Development Office (WDO) staff on the scope of in-demand occupations, alignment of training with local employer needs, annual allotment of workforce certificate and degree programs from year to year, and levels of wraparound support for clients. SARTW also serves as a Community Program Ambassador, promoting resident participation and employer hiring of participants. |
Meeting Schedule & Location: | The Ready to Work Advisory Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of every other month from 1:00 to 3:00pm at one of our Ready to Work partner agency locations. Please refer to the posted agenda to obtain meeting details at: https://www.sanantonio.gov/workforce/
