Board Composition: | The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) Board of Trustees is comprised of 11 Trustees: 10 District Appointed Members appointed by their respective Councilmembers and one (1) Member appointed by the Mayor. Trustees serve a two-year term of office not concurrent with the term of the appointing City Councilmember.

Mission/Purpose: | The San Antonio Public Library Board of Trustees is responsible for the management, care, control and maintenance of all library system properties consisting of the downtown Central Library, 29 library outlets, and a team of over 550 employees for the delivery of library services to approximately 1.9 million residents in San Antonio and Bexar County. |
Meeting Schedule & Location: | SAPL meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 4:30 PM, except November, at various library locations throughout the City.
