Board Composition: | The Board is comprised of 11 Members: 4 (four) representatives from Local Employers offering in-demand occupations; 2 (two) Current or Previous City Workforce Program Participants; 1 (one) Representative from a Trade and Labor Organization; 1 (one) Community Organization Representative; 1 (one) Representative from a Training Provider or Higher Education Institution; and 2 (two) Liaisons/Representatives appointed by the Mayor. |

Mission/Purpose: | The San Antonio Ready to Work Advisory Board (the Board) is charged with providing expertise and input to maximize the effectiveness of the Ready to Work workforce development program. The Board advises Workforce Development Office (WDO) staff on the scope of in-demand occupations, alignment of training with local employer needs, annual allotment of workforce certificate and degree programs from year to year, and levels of wraparound support for clients. The Board also serves as a Community Program Ambassador, promoting resident participation and employer hiring of participants, and provides input on budgetary allocations. |
Meeting Schedule & Location: | The San Antonio Ready to Work Advisory Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of every other month from 1:00 to 3:00pm at one of our Ready to Work partner agency or community stakeholder locations.
