Board Composition: | The Small Business Advisory Commission is comprised of 15 Members: 10 District Appointed Members appointed by their respective Councilmembers; one (1) Member appointed by the Mayor; and four (4) At Large Citizen Members. Members serve a two-year term of office concurrent with the term of the appointing City Councilmember. The Members are appointed as representatives from the following targeted categories: Two (2) representatives from Small Business Professional and/or Trade Organizations; two (2) representatives from Non-Profit Small Business Service Provider Organizations; four (4) Small Business Owners with less than 10 employees; four (4) Small Business Owners with 10-50 employees; and three (3) Small Business Owners from specific industries as identified and targeted by the City.

Mission/Purpose: | The mission of the Small Business Advocacy Commission (SBAC) shall be to review upcoming policies, regulations, and issues affecting small businesses, outside of the SBEDA Ordinance. SBAC provides recommendations to City Staff, Mayor, and City Council.
